The most unique art gallery in recent memory, has just opened its doors at 927 Royal Street. Located next to the Andrew Jackson Hotel, between Dumaine and St. Phillip Streets, is the Justin Robinson Smith Gallery. This gallery features the paintings and creations of local artist, Justin Robinson Smith, as well as the rare rock and roll photography of his father, Sidney Smith, and additional featured artists.

Justin is a multi talented visual artist, full of energy and vision, expressing his art through a variety of styles such as Tribal Exploration, Fauvist Landscapes, and Abstract Expressionism. With deep roots in New Orleans, he has dedicated much of his talent to the pursuit of purist tribal symbolic-abstraction.
His engaging and eclectic artistic style owes itself to years of travel with a focus on regions below the equator. Sidney Smith currently owns and operates New Orleans’ most popular tour company, Haunted History Tours. In another time however, he was the Crescent City’s pre-eminent rock photographer, working intimately with everyone from Paul McCartney, to Led Zeppelin. >From 1970 through 1978. Sidney’s work was regularly featured in Rolling Stone, Hit Parader, Creem, Circus, and other music publications of the time.
